Ghanaian actor Kwaku Manu, known for his candid and often emotional expressions, has made a heartfelt plea to President-elect John Dramani Mahama, urging him to fulfil his promises to the nation.
In an emotional appearance on UTV, Kwaku Manu appealed directly to Mahama, asking him to address the pressing issues that have left many Ghanaians struggling.
“You promised a 24-hour economy and the poultry initiative… please, make it work. Have mercy on the country,” Kwaku Manu said, his voice filled with earnestness.
The actor, who has been vocal about the struggles of ordinary Ghanaians, emphasized that the expectations for change and improvement are high.
He acknowledged the struggles that have weighed heavily on the nation and implored the incoming president to keep his commitments.

Kwaku Manu, speaking with a tone of deep concern, further requested that Mahama take advice seriously. “And when we offer advice, I beg you to listen,” he urged. The actor’s comments reflect a broader sentiment among many Ghanaians who feel that the promises made by politicians should be met with tangible results.
Many of the promises that Kwaku Manu referred to—such as the 24-hour economy and initiatives for boosting local industries like poultry farming—were high on the agenda during Mahama’s campaign.
These initiatives were seen as a potential solution to address the country’s high unemployment rate and economic challenges.
However, many are skeptical about whether these goals will materialize as promised.
