Ghanaian rapper Medikal has posted an odd message on Twitter amidst the ongoing dispute between the two prominent dancehall musicians in Ghana, Stonebwoy and Shatta Wale. The silence of Medikal on the matter has been subject to questioning by certain social media users.
Although Medikal was mentioned as a partner on the upcoming Freedom Wave concert, he has remained silent on social media, in contrast to Shatta Wale and his manager, Sammy Flex, who have spoken out about problems with the stadium venue.
Nevertheless, Medikal eventually shared a message on his official Twitter account on September 20 stating “We no de fear the gun, we fear the one behind the gun” Medikal post reads
It all started in the late hours of September 19, 2023, when Shatta Wale released a harsh 40-minute video blasting into Stonebwoy for holding his “Ashaiman to the World+BHIM concert+Fifth Dimension Homecoming” concert at the same Accra Sports Stadium as Shatta Wale’s Freedom Wave concert.
Shatta Wale levelled allegations against Stonebwoy, claiming that he had intentionally undermined his concert and colluded with the daughter of the president in order to ensure its failure. The representatives of Stonebwoy’s issued a response, stating that they had secured and made financial arrangements for the venue way before Shatta Wale.
