Afenyo-Markin shared that the government’s request came after concerns were raised about Ocloo’s ability to withstand the intense scrutiny that comes with the parliamentary vetting process. “They came begging that the woman could not stand the scrutiny.
So we just let her go,” Afenyo-Markin revealed, shedding light on the behind-the-scenes negotiations.
“They said she is a widow and that she could not stand the heat, so we let her go. After all, she qualifies under Article 78 and so we let her go,” he explained further.
The situation surrounding Ocloo’s vetting raised eyebrows due to the unusual intervention by government officials.
