In the heat of Ghana’s political landscape, a stark message has emerged from the Gomoa Central Constituency regarding musician-turned-politician Kwame A Plus.
As the December 7, 2024, general elections approach, Asiedu Nketia, a resident, has publicly voiced his scepticism about A Plus’s ability to influence voters in the area.
During a gathering that saw a palpable sense of community, Nketia, backed by an enthusiastic crowd, declared, “I want everyone watching and listening to know that while Kwame A Plus is very popular on social media, he’s not actively involved here in Gomoa Central. We don’t want him here.”
The criticism didn’t stop there. Nketia further urged A Plus’s supporters and sponsors to reconsider their backing, asserting that the musician is “deceiving them” due to his apparent absence from the constituency.
Kwame A Plus, known for his strong social media presence and outspoken views on various national issues, may face significant challenges as he attempts to translate online support into tangible votes.

In a political environment where face-to-face engagement and grassroots efforts are crucial, the feedback from constituents like Nketia serves as a stark reminder that social media fame does not always equate to political capital.
