We Are Working To Restore Economy To Full Health – Akufo-Addo Assures Ghanaians

President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has promised citizens that the country’s economy will be stabilised soon.

It has been a struggle for most Ghanaians to make ends meet for some time now due to the country’s fragile economy. The rising cost of fuel is just one example of how this change in the economy has affected society.

As reported by citinewsroom.com, in his speech to the Muslim community at the 2023 Eid-al-Adha event, President Nana Akufo-Addo credited the country’s Gold for Oil Programme with bringing about positive economic progress.

He added that the Ghanaians will soon see the results of the government’s efforts to get the economy back on its feet.

“I said at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic that we do not know how to bring back lives, but we know how to bring back an economy… I stand by those words. Insha Allah, we are working to restore the economy to full health, and Insha Allah, we shall do so.

“The currency has seen some stability lately, and, through the Gold for Oil Programme, we have seen the stability in the prices of petroleum products as well, all of which are bringing inflation down. Things are getting better and will get better, I can assure you. Things are getting better and will get better,” he said.
