Yvonne Nelson has made it clear that she and Sarkodie do not share a friendship, and the revelations she shared in her memoir have only driven them further apart.
During a recent interview with Onua FM, she encouraged young women to speak up about similar issues, expressing her satisfaction with the decision she made.
The actress and filmmaker acknowledged that she cannot alter Sarkodie’s perception of her approach as depicted in her autobiography, ‘I’m not Yvonne Nelson’. She said:
There was no rift between us. We are not friends, and after what happened in the book, we have not been close friends. It is okay for people to feel the way they feel but that doesn’t stop anyone from telling their stories.
Similarly, Yvonne Nelson responded to Sarkodie’s diss track after she made several allegations against him in her book.
Ms Nelson, who honed her craft in Nollywood, reminded Sarkodie they both have daughters, suggesting that the same thing could be visited on her daughter if he keeps on trudging on this warpath.
Additionally, she also asked him to stop throwing dust in the eyes of the public with the fake response she provided.
“Insults won’t work Michael, Respect womanhood. I’m happy the world gets to see how you are playing this and the real you. Young women get to learn from this. You would get the applause for a rap. still doesn’t change the truth,” she posted.
