The Ghanaian media landscape is mourning the loss of one of its prominent figures as Oman FM’s Kwabena Kwakye, affectionately known as Wofa KK, tragically passed away after falling ill at work.
The news, reported on the morning of Wednesday, February 14, 2024, has sent shockwaves throughout the industry, leaving colleagues and listeners alike in disbelief.
According to reports, the journalist suffered a health challenge right after the morning show and was rushed to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead on arrival.

A video sighted by Trunewsreport shows Kwakye’s final moment on the radio during his presentation earlier in the morning.
As seen in the video, the host was expressing concern about the timing of President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo’s ministerial reshuffle announced in the morning.
Kwabena Kwakye bemoaned the lack of enthusiasm surrounding the president’s first ever reshuffle since his assumption of the government in 2017.
