Patrons of the 2023 edition of the annual health walk by Elubo-based, West FM had a moment to relish as they were treated to an exciting yet comical dance battle between ace actor, Akrobeto and the Member of Parliament for Jomoro, Dorcas Afo-Toffey
The yearly walk forms part of an effort to foster community, encourage healthy lifestyles, and bring people together. It’s an important component of people’s socialization processes as well. The latest edition, held on Friday, August 5, 2023, was patronized by hundreds of people, including veteran Kumawood actor Akrobeto and Ghanaian comedian DKB.
The walk set off from the West FM station and finished at the Elubo Town Park. Dorcas Affo-Toffey, MP for the Jomoro Constituency, felt obligated to be there with her constituents at such an early hour on Friday.
At the conclusion of the walk, the participants engaged in exercises and listened to speeches meant to raise awareness of the need to maintain a healthy lifestyle and make new friends. The annual health walk that West FM and Charger Limited held in Elubo attracted hundreds of participants from the neighborhood.
Dorcas Affo-Toffey, a member of parliament, addressed the crowd and emphasized the importance of drinking responsibly if one is over the age of 18 and intends to avoid engaging in inappropriate behavior. She told the young people that they should take care of their health since it is the key to success in life.
At the end of the aerobic session, Akrobeto and Afo-Toffey entertained the crowd with some exciting dance moves.
