Dancehall icon Vybz Kartel was reportedly taken ill during a lively night at a well-known nightclub in Kingston on Monday night.
Eyewitness accounts indicate that the atmosphere shifted when the artist appeared unwell, prompting his swift assistance from the venue.
According to insiders speaking to Observer Online, Kartel is currently recovering well after the incident.

However, videos capturing the moment he was escorted out of the club have sparked concern among fans, especially in light of his ongoing battle with Graves’ disease.
The footage shows the club’s DJ appealing to attendees on the upper level to clear a path for the entertainer, who was later observed sitting on the rails as nearby patrons fanned him with rags and other makeshift items.
In May 2023, it was revealed that Kartel, who was then serving a prison sentence, had been struggling with Graves’ disease along with other health complications, including heart issues.
This autoimmune disorder is characterized by the overproduction of thyroid hormones, a condition known as hyperthyroidism.
Graves’ disease can manifest through a variety of symptoms, including bulging eyes, a gritty sensation in the eyes, pressure or pain in the eye region, swollen eyelids, and an enlarged thyroid gland.
