According to a report from MyNewsGh, the newborn baby who was abducted in Zebilla, Upper East Region, has been located.

The discovery was made possible by a local chief who provided the Police with information about the whereabouts of the woman responsible for the abduction. The woman, whose identity remains undisclosed, was apprehended and taken to Bawku.

Dr. Ayobi Abdul Rahman, a staff member at the Zebilla District Office, commended the Chief for his crucial assistance in the search for the baby.

Following her arrest, some Zebilla residents attempted to attack her, but the Police intervened and safely transported her to Bawku.

It is reported that the suspect feigned pregnancy to alleviate family pressure after a year of marriage without conceiving.

The baby’s mother, identified as Felicia, has been reunited with her child, while the Police continue their investigation.
