Actor Kanayo O. Kanayo has refuted allegations that he has mirrored onscreen juju practices in real life, attributing his success in the Nollywood industry to professionalism instead.
He dismissed speculations of participating in ‘midnight rituals’ for career advancement as unfounded and without merit. According to him, an invisible force is steering his path and motivating him to persevere in his chosen career.
“On a lighter note, I have never ventured out into the night seeking to outshine anyone else,” Kanayo clarified as quoted by MyNigeria.
“Perhaps, there is an unseen force guiding my journey and encouraging me to persist in my chosen path.”
He attributed his success and progress to his dedication and professionalism, highlighting the 2006 Best Actor award he received at the Africa Movie Academy Awards.
He stated firmly, “I do not claim to be the best actor, even though I received the Best Actor award at the Africa Movie Academy Awards in 2006. I attribute my success to professionalism and dedication.”
Expressing gratitude for divine guidance, Kanayo underscored the significance of maintaining good health and upholding ethical standards in the entertainment industry.
