Unless Someone Brings a New Sound, It’s Still Blacko’s Era – Samini

Ghanaian music icon Samini has recognized Black Sherif’s dominance in the industry, crediting his unique style and impact on the music scene.

“Currently, this is the Blacko era, unless a new artist comes with a fresh sound. Blacko came with his own style, and now we have about 5 or 6 people trying to mimic him.

That shows how much people are looking at his sound as the standard, unless someone is bold enough to bring something completely different. I think it’s a Blacko era,” he said.

Samini also praised other rising stars like Fameye, Lasmid, Olivetheboy, and King Paluta but emphasized that Black Sherif’s music has reached a level that sets him apart.

“No disrespect to other artistes, I’m loving Fameye’s, Lasmid’s, Olivetheboy’s, and King Paluta’s music, but Blacko’s music has reached a level that shows why he’s in the position he is now,” he added.

According to him, Black Sherif’s success is not just about talent but also the support system behind him.

“With a label like Blacko’s, these boys could have achieved the same or even more. The way his music resonates with people, it’s clear why it’s Blacko’s time. He has created a space for himself that others are striving to reach,” he explained.
