UNILEVER has been rated the number one “Top Employer in Africa.” This year, the company ranked number one in Ghana, the Ivory Coast, Kenya, and Nigeria for the sixth consecutive year. Unilever is also among the top five companies in South Africa and is accredited in Zimbabwe and Ethiopia.

Following a fiercely contested measuring procedure based on the HR Best Practices Survey, the various nations were recognized at the Top Employer 2023 Awards.

The Top Employers Institute programme certifies organizations based on their dedication to their employees as seen by their HR policy, participation, and HR Best Practices Survey outcomes. This poll includes 20 themes across six HR categories, including People Strategy, Work Environment, Talent Acquisition, Learning, Diversity & Inclusion, Well-being, and Sustainability.

The Managing Director of Unilever West Africa, Carl Cruz, stated: “The Top Employer Africa certification for Unilever affirmed the company?s ability to deliver an excellent employment experience consistently across the continent. This pleasant news attests to our firm resolve to always put our people first in all we do as a business. Our people will always remain our number one priority as an organisation.”

Ola Ehinmoro, Director of Human Resources at Unilever West Africa, stated that certification as a top employer demonstrates the organization’s commitment to a better world of work, as demonstrated by excellent HR policies and people practices. “This announcement reaffirms our company’s dedication to its employees, which I find extremely satisfying. We will continue to look for ways to enhance our employees’ experiences in order to make our organization a place of pride and enjoyment where they may work, play, and achieve their goals,” Ehinmoro said.

Top Employers Institute CEO David Plink said: “Exceptional times bring out the best in people and organisations, and we have witnessed this in our Top Employers Certification Programme this year; exceptional performance from the certified Top Employers 2023. These employers have always shown that they care for the development and well-being of their people. By doing so, they collectively enrich the world of work. We are proud to announce and celebrate this year?s group of leading people-oriented employers, the Top Employers 2023.”

The Top Employers award programme has certified and recognized more than 2053 top employers in 121 countries and regions across five continents since its inception.
