As Abla Dzifa Gomashie prepares to take over the mantle of Ghana’s Tourism, Culture, and Creative Arts Ministry, renowned actor and media personality Kwaku Manu has shared some advice he believes is crucial for her success.
In an appearance on UTV’s United Showbiz, Kwaku emphasized the importance of embracing unity over division, stressing that her ability to engage with people from all political backgrounds will be key to her success.
Kwaku expressed that the new minister must rise above partisanship, stating, “As she comes to take over as minister, she must understand that her success will be built on her ability to deal with people regardless of their political background, which will be key.
She should be a mother for all rather than discriminate on the line of political leaning. If she can treat everyone equally, she will chalk the needed success.”

Kwaku’s words come at a time when the country is navigating the importance of inclusivity and national unity, especially within government positions.
Many in the industry, including Kwaku, believe that the success of the Ministry lies in its ability to connect and engage all stakeholders, irrespective of their political affiliations.
The seasoned actor also took the opportunity to share a past experience as a learning moment for the incoming minister.
“There was a minister who was asked about FIPAG, and she said, ‘What is FIPAG?’ That was an indication that she did not know the industry she was leading well,” he recalled.
“Even some of the players in the industry do not know the industry very well. So since she has been named Minister, it is my belief that she will learn more to have a better understanding of the industry and its needs in order to address them.”
