In a recent social media showdown, Nollywood actress Uche Ogbodo has opened up about her decision to block May Edochie, the estranged wife of actor Yul Edochie.

The actress faced a wave of backlash from May’s supporters after she reported a robbery at her boutique, leading to a heated exchange that has drawn significant attention online.

Ogbodo took to Instagram to address the criticism she received, particularly from fans who seemed to relish in mocking her misfortune.

She accused these supporters of May Edochie of harassment, suggesting that they attributed the robbery to “karma” for her association with Yul Edochie’s second wife, Judy Austin.

This claim highlights the often toxic dynamics that can emerge in the world of social media, where public figures are frequently scrutinized and attacked by devoted fan bases.

In her passionate response, Ogbodo labeled the fans “toxic” and expressed frustration with their behavior.

She stated that she blocked May Edochie because of her camp’s apparent tolerance for such negativity. Ogbodo emphasized that she should be free to support and engage with those she likes without ridicule.

She expressed her sentiments bluntly, saying, “Toxic May Edochie fans! Unah go dey Taya ooo. Very very toxic bunch of lunatics! You people don’t own this social media.”

Ogbodo further challenged the notion that karma could befall someone innocent, stating, “Does karma visit an innocent person? Someone whose heart is pure and not ridden with evil? Hell No!”

The actress also highlighted the absurdity of linking her robbery to karma, asserting, “Thief stole my goods then it’s my Karma because I chose to mind my business.”

This response not only defends her position but also sheds light on the broader implications of fan culture in the entertainment industry—where loyalty can morph into hostility.
