The late founder and leader of the Synagogue Church of All Nations, Prophet T. B. Joshua, has become the subject of discussion following the publication of a widely publicised investigative piece by the BBC indicting him for various acts of human abuse.
The three-part documentary titled “DISCIPLES: The Cult of TB Joshua” was released on Tuesday, January 8, 2023, and has several members of the church, including close associates of the late prophet, accuse him of horrific acts such as rape, torture and assault.

A portion of the documentary saw a former associate pastor of the prophet who was referred to as a disciple, detailing how they were made to go to extreme lengths to serve him.
“When TB Joshua needs to go to the toilet, two of us need to be in the toilet,” the former disciple recalled.
He added that part of their duty of being in the toilet with the prophet was to assist him in taking off his pants.
“He would remove his underwear to his knee level, then we bring it down. We don’t allow him to bend down,” he recounted.
Born on June 12, 2023, Temitope Balogun Joshua also referred to as T. B. Joshua died on June 15, 2023.
He had, at the time of his death, grown his church into a megachurch of healing and prophetic acts that commanded wide followership across various parts of the globe.
Several political and celebrated figures from various nations visited his base in Lagos, where his services were broadcast to millions all over the world.

According to the BBC, Prophet T. B. Joshua died some few days after his first victims were interviewed for the documentary.
Meanwhile, the SCOAN, currently headed by Prophet TB Joshua’s surviving wife, Evelyn, according to the BBC, has not responded to the allegations made against him but has said that previous allegations made against him could not stand.
