Gospel musician Diana Asamoah has called on members of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and Ghanaians at large to place their faith in God amidst the aftermath of the 2024 general elections.
Speaking during an interview on Angel FM, the revered singer shared words of encouragement and reminded listeners that political power is fleeting, but God’s grace is everlasting.
“If you win or lose the election, try as much as possible to put your trust in God,” Diana urged. “By His grace, nothing will shake us because it’s still possible, and it’s still NPP. Anytime I lost, I became stronger because I knew that God is not a one-way being.”
The NPP’s loss in the elections has left many of its supporters grappling with disappointment, but Diana’s message emphasizes resilience and faith. Reflecting on her own experiences, she shared how trusting in God’s plan has always strengthened her during difficult times.
Addressing those whose party remains in power, she offered a poignant reminder: “I also want to tell those whose party is in power to put their hope in Christ and work hard. If you put all your trust in your party, you will remain inactive, and before you know it, you’ll find yourself in opposition.”
Diana highlighted the importance of God’s favour in every aspect of life. “A government can be in power, but without the grace of God, you won’t receive the favour of men.
However, when God’s favor is upon you, you will receive His mercy. As long as we are alive, we will eat from both sides.”
