Enoch Nana Yaw Oduro-Agyei, popularly known as Trigmatic, is a musician, composer, and songwriter from Accra, Ghana.

He was born in Accra’s suburb of Flamingo. His early education began at the Homecare Nursery School in Dansoman and continued at St. Martin de Porres, also located in Dansoman. He graduated from St. Martin de Porres Senior High School in 2003. His musical career began in high school, where he participated in all school-organized musical events.

Music Career

After graduating from high school in 2005, he enrolled at NIIT, where he studied network engineering and earned a certificate in database administration. He subsequently pursued a professional certificate in marketing (CIMUK) from the University of Professional Studies (UPSA) and a bachelor’s degree from Central University College. However, his passion for music led him to a career in media and entertainment. Around the same time, he won the lyricist lounge competition on Vibe FM and continued to be a battle rapper.

He was able to release a street mixtape entitled ‘Stain on a Textile in 2007. He continued to discover himself and gradually expressed his inner Dancehall and Reggae spirit. He co-hosted the Saturday programme ‘Young Vibes’ at a radio station in Accra (Vibe FM).

In 2009, he moved to Yfm, an urban radio station based in Accra, where he hosted the Saturday programme “Y Express.” Under new management (Gab Management), he released “Permanent Stains,” his debut studio album, in 2010. His album featured the hit anthems “My Life”, “Mefiri Ghana”, and “My Jolly.” He received seven nominations, making him the most-nominated individual for the Ghana Music Awards in 2011. He won the Best Rapper during the award. The album “Permanent Stains” was nominated for three Gospel Music Awards and four 4Syte Music Video Awards. He was the most sought-after performer for nearly every performance in Ghana.

His nationwide high school tour and other achievements earned him the Mentor of the Year award from Prempeh College. His numerous contributions to adolescent empowerment in Ghana earned him the certificate of achievement.

In 2011, he was designated the Director of Hip-Hop for the Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA). In the same year, he founded his own label, Da Trig Entertainment Label, which is now Matic Multimedia. Under this stewardship, he released his second album, SOUL-u-TIONS. He was nominated for six awards at the 2012 Ghana Music Awards. This album also includes chart-topping songs such as “Light and Darkness” by Irene Logan and “Ajeeii” by Raquel. Also featured were African artists such as Kel, Hakym da Dream, and Mocheddah. He has collaborated with musicians from all corners of the globe.
