Seasoned journalist Adakabre Frimpong Manso has shared details about his last meeting with the late Labianca CEO, Eunice Jacqueline Buah Asomah-Hinneh before her death.
He mentioned that Eunice had summoned him to her home to discuss some confidential matters, and now that she is no longer alive, she left him unsure about what to do with the recording. Adakabre explained that the audio was from an interview he conducted with Eunice Buah back in August 2023.
He recounted how she had reached out to him for a meeting at her house while he was at home. Adakabre complied with her request to come without his car, and upon arrival, he was led to her bedroom where Eunice shared personal information with him for over an hour.
Following the recording, Adakabre mentioned that Eunice instructed him not to release the tape but to hold onto it until after her passing.
“In August 2023, I received a call from La Bianca, who asked me to visit her home. Heeding her request, I went without my vehicle. She led me to her bedroom and inquired if I had brought a recorder, to which I replied negatively.
“She intended to share something with me for the sake of posterity. She did not specify whether to broadcast the tape or not; she merely requested that I keep it until she was no longer alive.
“The contents of the audio are substantial and incendiary. In the recording, which lasts over an hour, my voice is heard only twice—at the start and the end. I have preserved the recording but now face a dilemma. I am uncertain about whether to release it and, if so, when,” he explained.
On June 11, 2024, Jacqueline Buah Asomah-Hinneh reportedly died after a brief illness at the International Maritime Hospital (IMAH) in Tema, Greater Accra Region.
