Jay-Z is taking a firm stand against explosive allegations, accusing attorney Tony Buzbee of attempting to extort him with claims from two separate accusers—including a male plaintiff.
The rapper, in new legal filings, alleges that Buzbee sent two demand letters in November 2024: one involving a Jane Doe who accused both Jay-Z and Sean “Diddy” Combs of sexual assault in 2000, and another from a John Doe who claimed Jay-Z assaulted him at a Beverly Hills party in 2015.
Dismissing both allegations as “false and ridiculous in every respect,” Jay-Z claims Buzbee demanded “something of substance” to resolve the accusations, which he interpreted as an attempt to pressure him into a financial settlement.

“This was blatant blackmail,” Jay-Z’s legal team argued, reinforcing that the rapper refuses to be coerced.
The female accuser’s lawsuit was dismissed with prejudice on February 14, 2025, preventing it from being refiled. Celebrating the decision, Jay-Z stated:
“Today is a victory. The frivolous, fictitious, and appalling allegations have been dismissed. My wife and I will now have to sit our children down and explain the cruelty and greed of people.”

However, the male accuser’s claims remain unresolved, with Jay-Z maintaining that Buzbee is engaging in a pattern of extortion. The rapper insists he will not be intimidated into paying for silence and is prepared to challenge the accusations publicly.
Tony Buzbee, known for representing multiple clients in lawsuits against Sean “Diddy” Combs, has not yet publicly responded to Jay-Z’s accusations.
However, the case raises critical questions about the fine line between legal advocacy and financial coercion in high-profile assault cases.
