Think About Your Children In School And Vote For NPP- Kennedy Agyapong

Kennedy Agyapong has taken an unexpected step by joining Dr Mahamudu Bawumia’s campaign trail and expressing his strong belief in Bawumia’s ability to lead as president.

Agyapong disclosed that Bawumia has the potential to generate employment opportunities and improve the country’s overall prosperity.

Agyapong said despite the existing challenges, firmly stated that the New Patriotic Party (NPP) remains the most capable party to effectively govern the nation, highlighting that the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) is not a viable alternative.

“The Vice President is our flagbearer for the 2024 December 7 elections. I will plead with you that you work hard and support the Vice President to become President. If he becomes President you will get jobs.

“I am aware that duties are now expensive because I am also paying some. However, the Vice President has also whispered to me that he is aware of the duties at the port and will do something great about it to help reduce it for importers.

“If you want a party that will help in the development of Ghana you cannot compare NDC to NPP. So I will plead with you to vote for the NPP. Your MP told you that you have a decision to make and the decision is voting for Dr Bawumia so that the NPP can still be in power.

“I acknowledge that times are hard in this country but there is one thing the NPP has done and that is the Free SHS policy Nana Akufo-Addo brought. You see the number of people who have been able to make it to the University you’ll marvel.

“Times are hard and I know that because I also pay duty but when you are going to vote, think about your child in school and those about to go to school.

“You should ask yourself the future your children have if NDC is in power and advise yourself,” he told Ghanaians at the Suame Magazine during Bawumia’s Kumasi walk and tour of the Ashanti region.

Mr Agyapong’s unexpected partnership with Bawumia has caught political analysts and other observers off guard following their fierce competition during the NPP primaries for the flagbearer position in November 2023.

Following his narrow defeat in the internal elections, Kennedy Agyapong’s criticisms of the NPP and Bawumia posed a significant threat to the party’s unity leading up to the general elections in December 2024.

It’s obvious he has reversed his decision to distance himself from the party, which could have led to their defeat against the NDC. Instead, he has chosen to join them to form a united front.
