Veteran Nigerian actor Jude Chukwuka has shared how he was attacked in Ikorodu, Lagos State, by a group of unknown men who mistook him for the father of singer Naira Marley.

Speaking in a recent interview with Seun Oloketuyi on YouTube, Chukwuka said the attack happened while he was on a movie set.

The men accused his “son” of being responsible for the death of singer Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad.

“I understood from the beginning that blaming Naira Marley for the death of Mohbad was an attack on his personality,” he said.

“But because it was finally their chance, some people wanted to take advantage of the situation to become famous. A group of men attacked me on a film set in Ikorodu, claiming that my son was responsible for Mohbad’s death.”

“I informed them that I’m not the father of Naira Marley. I let them know that my home is Delta State, and he is from Abeokuta in Ogun State.”

Chukwuka noted that some individuals were using Mohbad’s death as an opportunity to push false narratives and gain attention.
