Shatta Wale’s manager Sammy Flex, whose real name is Samuel Atuobi Baah has received criticism from a cross-section of Ghanaians amidst his ongoing feud with rival Stonebwoy.
During the the melee which is presently ongoing on social media, one Facebook user, Quagraine Fiifi Duke, questioned why entertainment journalists and pundits were constantly pressuring Sammy Flex to control his artist’s behaviour.
Duke wondered why these critics were urging Sammy Flex to stop defending Shatta Wale and instead, hold him accountable.
In response, Sammy Flex emphasized that critics often fail to understand the challenging role of being both a manager and a public relations officer (PRO).
They ask why are you defending? I wish they say why are you insulting? If you work in a company and you can’t defend your company publicly, then what kind of a hypocrite worker are you? You can’t be part of the hard days but you want to enjoy glory and the good days. They are crazy to start with.
Amidst the tension between the two artistes, Sammy Flex revealed that the recent clash between Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy at the Abeka Salahfest was due to Stonebwoy’s unprofessional behaviour.
The two artists were scheduled to perform on April 11, but Stonebwoy decided to boycott the event, leaving Shatta Wale frustrated.
According to Sammy Flex, Stonebwoy pulled out last minute upon learning that Shatta Wale would perform right after him, causing tension between the two artists.
This information was shared by Sammy Flex during an interview on Onua FM last Friday.
“The organisers had given us 2 am as time for performance because they said Stonebwoy would perform first for us to follow.
