Election 2024: All The Signs Point To An NPP Defeat – Vim Lady

Television personality Afia Pokua known as Vim Lady has expressed her belief that there are evident signs that the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) is heading towards opposition.

During her presentation on the Egyaso Gyaso program aired on Okay FM on Tuesday, August 1, 2023, the presenter expressed her opinion that the NPP is again committing the same errors that resulted in their election defeat in 2008.

She continued by saying that everyone could see what was happening before the NPP went into opposition during the John Agyekum Kufuor administration.

“The signs are on the wall showing that with the kind of things the NPP are doing, they’re going to be in opposition. We in the media say it, but if you say it, you get labeled as a part of the NDC. Any time a party goes into opposition, the signs are always available.

“When President Kufuor was in office, the signs were there as early as 2006 or 2007. Worse still, Alan and Nana Addo caused chaos at the party’s presidential meeting by sharing money, clothes, and even dollars at the last minute, she said.

Vim Lady went on to explain why the NPP will go into opposition, saying that not listening to the needs of Ghanaians was a major factor. She claimed that while Ghanaians were complaining about a lack of employment opportunities, Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia was making the rounds, boasting about the country’s progress in the field of digital technology.
