Efia Odo appeared on 3FM where she shared insights into her ongoing struggles with romantic relationships and the valuable lessons she has learned from them.
The actress and socialite expressed that despite her past disappointments, she remains hopeful about love, emphasizing her willingness to embrace new experiences informed by her previous encounters.
Efia Odo acknowledged her own role in the unsuccessful relationships, noting the significant effort and resources she has invested without receiving equivalent returns.
She stated that she has now resolved to be more discerning in her choice of partners and the initiation of future relationships.
“It’s not like I have given up on love, like right now I am taking my time. Before, I used to wear my heart on my sleeves, now I wear it in my jeans. When I love, its overwhelming for the wrong person so I want to really take my time to scope out any guy who says they are interested in me.
“My name is Efia Odo, I am love and I give out love and can’t give up on love so I am taking it slow,” she noted.
According to her, she finds something awkward about Ghanian guys as she was optimistic of finding love and true relationship when she came to Ghana.
“The guys here, I don’t know. There’s something because I came into this country optimistic, full of love and altruistic but the system here will change your way of thinking and way of being because it’s just different,” she added.
She further admitted that she might also be the problem in her love life because she loves overwhelmingly.
However, Efia says she has learnt to love herself first and now picky on whom she chooses to love.
“Me, I can meet you today and I will do everything for you because I feel like that is how we all should be as human beings. We should be loving and supporting each other, but I have to come to learn that first of all when you love yourself, you don’t allow people to love you the way they should,” she stated.
