Representation of a historical figure, Father Gabriele Amorth was the Vatican’s principal exorcist and performed over one hundred thousand exorcisms in his lifetime. (In 2016, he passed away at the age of 91.) Amorth revealed in two autobiographies — An Exorcist Tells His Tale and An Exorcist: Further Stories — his experiences combating Satan and demons who had possessed individuals.
