Their collaborations were a staple in Ghanaian music and brought high-energy performances that fans came to love. “I perform it, and he performs it,” he added, emphasizing that the legacy of their music remains intact.

Pope Skinny even acknowledged Shatta Wale in his latest single, Slow Down, giving a shout-out to his long-time friend. “Even if you listen to my new song titled Slow Down, I even gave Shatta Wale a shout-out in the song,” he explained.

For him, their bond represents the dynamic nature of friendship, where disagreements can arise but are eventually worked through. “Friends fight, and friends come back,” he said, reflecting a mature perspective on their past differences.

The rapper also shared that while they used to have more heated disagreements, their relationship has mellowed over time.

“Now we don’t quarrel like previously, and we are good friends because we’ve always been friends,” he remarked.

For Pope Skinny, this renewed friendship aligns with his belief that friendships should withstand trials and return to a place of harmony. “That’s how it’s supposed to be,” he concluded.

Pope Skinny’s comments have been well-received by fans of both artists, who hope this positive turn will lead to future collaborations.
