1. eShun- Afehyie Pa: Afehyia Pa” means Merry Christmas in Akan, and this song by eShun is a beautiful and soulful Christmas anthem.

Kaakyire Kwame Appiah – 24TH: The album that shot him into instant fame, The 24th Yekodi Bronya, is the one for which he is most remembered and famous.  The lyrics of the song describe rural-urban migration, specifically how the majority of urban-dwelling Ghanaians pack polythene bags as luggage and depart for their hometowns on December 24 to celebrate the holidays.

3. Sonnie Badu – Christmas Carols: Sonnie Badu’s rendition of Christmas carols infuses a Ghanaian flavor into traditional Christmas tunes, creating a unique and joyful experience.

4. ADWOA PAT -“Afihyiapa” a traditional Ghanaian Christmas song: This upbeat and festive track captures the excitement and anticipation of Christmas.

5. Kofi Kinaata – Made In Taadi: While not specifically a Christmas song, the lively and danceable “Made In Taadi” by Kofi Kinaata can add a festive touch to your holiday playlist.

6. Kaakyire Kwame Appiah – Soroku: Kaakyire Kwame Appiah is a highlife musician in Ghana who is famous for his Soroku music which is very danceable and party-like. 

7. Kaakyire Kwame Appiah – Bronya: Bronya is a lively and energetic song that can add a festive vibe to your Christmas celebrations.

8. Castro – Toffee: The radio continues to play Castro’s song “Toffee” even though he is no longer with us. This was his breakout hit, and it’s very unique.

9. Ofori Amposah – Otoolege: “Otoolege” is an old Ghanaian highlife music that boasts delightful lyrics and a captivating music video that is sure to make you consider adding it to your music playlist and playing it endlessly.
