London is gearing up for a major cultural celebration as South by Southwest (SXSW) expands to Europe for the first time.

Scheduled to take place from June 2-7, 2025, in Shoreditch, SXSW London promises a fusion of music, film, technology, and innovation, bringing together global industry leaders and renowned creatives.

Among the high-profile figures headlining the event are Grammy-winning Nigerian singer Tems, acclaimed actor and musician Idris Elba, and legendary artist Wyclef Jean.

They will be joined by comedian Katherine Ryan and wellness guru Deepak Chopra, among other prominent names.

The festival’s conference segment will also feature electronic music pioneer Jean-Michel Jarre and fitness coach Joe Wicks, adding further diversity to the lineup​

One of the standout attractions of SXSW London is its Music Festival, where Tems will take center stage on June 5 at London’s iconic Troxy.

Known for her soulful voice and global hits, she is expected to deliver an electrifying performance.

Meanwhile, the Screen Festival will highlight the works of Grammy-winning filmmaker Jenn Nkiru, offering a retrospective of her career and premiering her latest project, The Great North.

Adding to the festival’s innovation-driven approach, Abbey Road Studios will debut Abbey Road: Studio Four, an immersive experience blending live music, discussions, and interactive exhibitions that celebrate music creativity and technology​

Founded in Austin, Texas, in 1987, SXSW has grown into a globally recognized event. The London edition follows its expansion into the Asia-Pacific region with SXSW Sydney in 2023, reinforcing its influence as a major stop for creatives across music, film, and digital media
