Tasha K Says Cardi B’s Legal Maneuver Is a ‘Backdoor’ Attack on Her Career

Tasha K is back with another shocking twist in her ongoing legal battle with Cardi B. In recent documents filed on January 7, 2025, the controversial blogger claims that the Bronx rapper is attempting to extinguish her career by sabotaging her bankruptcy case.

The filing, viewed by HipHopDX and first reported by TMZ, accuses Cardi of making a move that could effectively silence Tasha’s voice.

At the heart of the dispute is Cardi’s attempt to dismiss Tasha’s bankruptcy filing from 2023. According to Tasha, Cardi claims that she and her husband orchestrated a plan to delay or defraud her efforts to pay off the $3.9 million she owes Cardi after a 2019 lawsuit.

The lawsuit stemmed from Cardi’s claims that Tasha spread malicious falsehoods about her, including accusations of infidelity and sexually transmitted diseases.

Tasha’s response? She’s accusing Cardi of leveraging her legal power to impose a non-disparagement clause so restrictive that it would “undermine [her] career.”

Tasha argues that Cardi’s request is an effort to “bully” her into submission and undermine her First Amendment rights, painting the case as an attempt to “end [her] career.”

It’s clear that this legal battle is about far more than just money; it’s about freedom of speech, reputation, and the battle between two public figures with a lot on the line.

As Cardi works on her highly anticipated sophomore album, it seems she’s taking extraordinary steps to finish it — and according to Tasha, that includes making moves to silence her once and for all.

The back-and-forth between Cardi B and Tasha K is far from over. What’s next in this fiery legal clash? Only time will tell. But one thing’s for sure — both of these women have proven that they will stop at nothing to defend their reputations, even if it means battling it out in court.
