A tragic incident has emerged from East Africa, where it has been reported that popular Tanzanian artist Mandojo was lynched after being mistaken for a thief.
This heartbreaking event took place on Sunday, August 11, 2024, just hours before his birthday.
His colleague, Soggy Doggy, confirmed the news of Mandojo’s death and shared a heartfelt tribute online. Mandojo was celebrated for his hit songs “Nikupe” and “Dingi.”
“My heart is in great pain; I will miss you very much my brother and friend. Rest in peace, Mandojo.
“Surely, human life is very short on this earth. Sorry to brothers, relatives, and friends, and I’m very sorry my brother @domokayatz. God’s work has no mistakes,” Soggy Doggy wrote.
Tributes also came in from Domo Kaya, a close friend and associate of Mandojo. In a poignant message, Kaya expressed sorrow over the unfortunate timing of the tragedy.
“Daaaah MY SON, I don’t believe the 22nd of this month is supposed to be your birthday. Aisee, why! This is so sad. Rest in peace, may God give you eternal light, friend, brother,” Domo Kaya wrote.
