Kumawood actor Sumsum Ahoufe has expressed disappointment in his colleague Tracey Boakye for publicly disclosing the financial assistance she offered fellow actor Kyekyeku.
Sumsum did not mince words in a statement, saying, “Tracey had no right to publicise the financial assistance she gave Kyekyeku, including mentioning the dollars she handed him. It’s as if she only wanted to humiliate him.”
The controversy began when Tracey Boakye accused Kyekyeku of being ungrateful after she claimed to have supported him during a difficult time.
“When Kyekyeku was broke, I gave him $2000,” Tracey stated in a social media post. “But when I needed his help, he turned his back on me.”

Her remarks quickly garnered attention online, sparking debates about the appropriateness of airing such grievances publicly.
Sumsum, however, believes such actions undermine the spirit of genuine help. “If you want to help someone, do it quietly and don’t broadcast it to the world,” he advised, urging discretion in acts of kindness.
He further criticised Tracey’s approach, stating, “Tracey is not the first person to help someone. There was no need to bring this to social media.”
