Ghanaian actress and producer Tracey Boakye has taken to TikTok to share her emotional ordeal involving junior colleague Kyekyeku, expressing deep hurt over what she describes as his ungrateful actions.
Fighting back tears during the live session, Tracey opened up about the emotional toll of being let down by someone she had selflessly supported.
Reflecting on her generosity, Tracey recalled how she gifted Kyekyeku $2,000 when their paths first crossed, an act of kindness she believed would help uplift his career.
“What if I was relying on movies as my only business? Wouldn’t my investment go down the drain because of him?” she questioned, her voice quivering. “This isn’t about trends or attention; I am genuinely hurt. You can tell I’m even crying—please forgive me.”
Her followers, who tuned in to the live session, could sense the rawness of her emotions as she continued to detail how Kyekyeku’s actions had affected her.
Tracey revealed that her decision to help him had been met with skepticism by some, with critics warning her against being overly generous. Their warnings, however, did not deter her.
She believed in extending a helping hand to someone she thought deserved it. “People are now mocking me, especially those who didn’t like the fact that I gave him $2,000.
They warned me not to help him, but I didn’t listen. Now, they’re laughing at me,” she shared, visibly pained by the ridicule.
Tracey urged her followers to take a lesson from her story, stressing the importance of gratitude and loyalty. “Let’s learn from this. I’m sharing my story so others can understand that if someone does you good, you should not repay them with evil.
Kyekyeku’s actions have hurt me deeply,” she said, her words resonating with viewers who could feel the sincerity in her voice.
