Singer Fameye has expressed support for Shatta Wale’s passionate demeanour, acknowledging its impact on the music industry but advising a softer delivery for a broader understanding.
Speaking during a podcast conversation with Kwadwo Sheldon, Fameye delved into the contrasting methods artists use to navigate challenges, citing Shatta Wale’s confrontational style as both a strength and a potential barrier.
“Everyone has their way of addressing issues,” Fameye noted, his tone thoughtful. “For Shatta, he speaks his truth with fire. While it’s coming from a good place, the intensity can sometimes overshadow the message.”
The conversation touched on how Shatta Wale’s assertive approach occasionally draws criticism, yet Fameye maintained that his intentions are often misunderstood.

He compared Wale’s delivery to that of Stonebwoy, another influential figure in Ghana’s music scene, who Fameye described as having a more measured and deliberate way of sharing his thoughts.
“Stonebwoy has his own style—calm but impactful,” he explained. “It doesn’t mean one is better than the other. They both want what’s best for our industry. But sometimes, a little gentleness can help people really hear you.”
Fameye’s reflections showcased his deep respect for Shatta Wale’s influence, particularly his ability to challenge the status quo and ignite conversations that push the industry forward. However, he was clear in his belief that tone matters.
“Shatta’s energy is unmatched. He inspires so many of us to aim higher,” Fameye admitted. “But I feel a softer approach, at times, could amplify his message even more.”
