Stonebwoy has stated publicly that he has lost interest in helping young artistes develop their careers. He claims that the lack of appreciation from those he helped earlier robbed him of the exuberant vigor and energy to help young musicians.

In an interview with Amansan Krakye on Cape Coast’s Property FM, Stonebwoy said he is more wary than before because of people’s lack of gratitude.

“It goes on constantly, and I can mention a lot of names right now, but we all saw what happened and all of that, so there’s a huge issue with our system… Because of that, there are so many things and investments that can go wrong, coupled with too much stuff that can make you lose your vim. When something makes you lose vim, to be able to do it again, you have to be careful to strategize, but I’m not afraid at all, and I’ll always continue to help people,” Stonbwoy stated.

He also implied that he is now more careful as a result of his past mistakes. Before going into details of the altercation that resulted in Bossu Kelly, a former Stonebwoy bodyguard, slapping the Afrobeat sensation Kelvyn Boy and Okailey Verse (OV) also leaving the Burniton Music Group, it’s important to remember how things got so heated in the first place.

In 2019, rumours had it that Stonebwoy was fighting with Kelvyn Boy, one of his signees and proteges. The Bhim Nation President, however, was posting mysterious comments on social media concerning Kelvyn Boy’s lack of gratitude. After the foundation of their friendship and professional relationship collapsed, Stonebwoy sacked Kelvyn Boy from Burniton Music Group.

Stonebwoy made it clear in the Hitz FM studios in September 2019 that whoever is closest to him is aware that Kelvyn Boy has been ungrateful to him. Subsequently, Kelvyn Boy expressed regret by apologising to Stonebwoy. A video of him kneeling down and begging his fans to help him beg Stonebwoy was posted on the internet.

But, Stonebwoy was not convinced, saying that if he were genuine, he would have reached out to him. After failing at gaining Stonebwoy’s affections once again, he began taking indirect digs at him on social media and eventually released a diss track called “Yawa No Dey” featuring GodMC M.anifest.

Then, after Blakk Cedi, Stonebwoy’s manager, left the company, Okailey Verse (OV) followed suit. In a video that went viral on social media, Aisha Mode revealed details about what happened, saying that they were part of the conspiratorial group that attempted to destroy Stonebwoy.
