Award-winning Ghanaian artist Stonebwoy has revealed he is in talks with the National Democratic Congress (NDC) about performing at one of their campaign rallies ahead of the 2024 general elections.
Speaking on Hitz FM, the dancehall icon confirmed he has received offers from the NDC, though discussions are still ongoing.
“There are a few offers I’m considering,” he said, clarifying the nature of the discussions. “I believe there’s one from the NDC. To clarify, I haven’t spoken directly to anyone from the NDC, but there has been a call from them.
We’re negotiating the financial terms, and if they are favourable, I’ll perform for my fans and use some of the money for the BHIM Festival.”
Stonebwoy was quick to emphasize that his decision to perform would not signify an endorsement of any political party. Instead, he views his music as a unifying force in Ghana’s charged political atmosphere.
“Whenever you see me on any platform, I’m performing for peace, whether it’s for NPP, NDC, or CPP. It’s all for peace because we are all one Ghana. Ghana first, Ghana must win in the end,” he added, underscoring his unwavering commitment to national unity.
