Showboy has accused dancehall star Stonebwoy of disrespecting him and failing to credit others for sampled music.
In a video shared on social media, Showboy opened up about the rift between him and Stonebwoy, claiming that their issues began after they collaborated on the song Bie Gya.
“I respect Stonebwoy as an artiste,” Showboy began, addressing the tension between the two. “But our personal issues started when Stonebwoy didn’t appreciate me after we released the song ‘Bie Gya.'”
Showboy’s comments shine a light on what he perceives as a lack of gratitude from Stonebwoy following their collaborative effort.

In addition to the personal grievances, Showboy also accused Stonebwoy of sampling music without giving credit to the original artists.
“Stonebwoy used Buk Bak’s ‘Kolom’ in his latest track ‘Jiggle and Whine’ without acknowledging them,” Showboy stated in the video.
The issue of proper music credits has been a longstanding debate in the music industry, with many artists voicing concerns over the ethical and legal aspects of sampling.
The sample of Kolom, a classic track by the legendary Ghanaian group Buk Bak, has raised eyebrows.
Buk Bak, known for their influence on the Ghanaian music scene, have yet to publicly comment on the situation, but Showboy’s remarks have brought attention to the broader issue of giving credit where it’s due.
