What starts as a simple choice—refusing to eat from the family chef—often signals deeper cracks in a relationship. For Apostle Solomon Oduro, this seemingly small act was one of many signs that his marriage to Rev. Charlotte Oduro was unraveling.
According to his divorce petition, his wife’s decision in January 2024 to stop eating meals prepared in their home marked the beginning of complete separation.
In March, she reportedly extended the rule to their children, instructing them not to eat from the same pot. Instead, she began cooking her own meals privately in the master bedroom—a move that, in Apostle Oduro’s view, symbolized emotional and physical detachment.

The petition details how communication had broken down over time, with Rev. Charlotte allegedly making major decisions without consulting him.
He also claimed that the disrespect in their home had escalated to the point where their children would lock him out of the house, supposedly at their mother’s instruction.
Beyond emotional distance, Apostle Oduro alleged that their intimacy had been nearly nonexistent, revealing that they had engaged in sexual relations only 12 times throughout their 16-year marriage.
The culmination of these issues, he stated, subjected him to emotional distress, anxiety, and physical neglect.
