An angry Shatta Wale has revealed that Sarkodie betrayed his trust by allegedly accepting GHC120,000 instead of the $150,000 they both supposedly agreed on when they were contacted by Globacom for an ambassadorial role and headline in 2018.
During a recent Twitter space conversation with Serwaa Amihere, Shatta Wale revealed that his ongoing criticism of Sarkodie stems from an incident involving the Glo mega-concert deal on October 25th, 2018.
According to Shatta Wale, both artistes had agreed to request $150,000 for the deal, but Sarkodie supposedly accepted GHC120,000. Furthermore, the organizers deemed Shatta Wale’s requested amount excessive and offered Sarkodie $131,000 instead.
Shatta Wale was disappointed that Sarkodie did not support his suggestion to boycott the show in response to the reduced payment offer, and instead performed and accepted the lower amount. This incident caused Shatta Wale to express his dissatisfaction on Twitter, ultimately leading to the end of their friendship.
