Newly appointed Black Stars trainer, Otto Addo has revealed his favourite Ghanaian musicians during a conversation with ace sports journalist Michael Oti Adjei.
The former Dortmund coach expressed his admiration for artists such as Shatta Wale, Black Sherif, Sarkodie, and Kwesi Arhur.
Additionally, Addo mentioned his appreciation for Nigerian musicians Mr. Eazi and Buju BNXN. In an interview with 3Sports, the Black Stars manager emphasized his love for music and his natural inclination towards it.
“I also love to listen to music, for sure,” he said. When asked about his favourites, he said, “So many, and I’ve said it before. Even though I don’t speak Ga, I love to hear Ga.
“So, I love Shatta Wale, especially when he talks and speaks in Ga. Surely, Kwesi Arthur, Sarkodie – great lyrics, Black Sherif, Mr Eazi – I love him, and also from Nigeria, BNXN Buju,” he said during the interview.
Otto Addo was appointed as the new head coach of the Black Stars, returning to the Ghana national team 15 months after guiding them to the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
The 47-year-old was identified in March this year and took over from Chris Hughton, who was dismissed following the team’s early exit from the recent TotalEnergies Africa Cup of Nations in Cote d’Ivoire.
The GFA revealed Addo will lead the Black Stars on a 34-month contract, with the possibility of extending for an additional two years.
