Amidst the feud between female rappers Stefflon Don and Jada Kingdom, dancehall legend Sean Paul has admonished the two to quash their beef.
In an Instagram post sighted by Trunewsreport, Sean Paul noted that while women should be able to stand up for themselves, it should be for a better cause aimed at setting good examples for younger generations.
“I DOE LOVE THIS NOT ONE TALL. WOMAN SHOULD B WORRIERS YES. BUT 4 A CAUSE. U SHOULD LEAD THE WAY MORALLY 4 THE FAM. MEN GET HEATED. U CLAM US DOWN. HOW CAN WE CAL, DOWN IF YALL DOING TAT 2. 2 BEAUTIFUL BLACK WOMAN. LIVE BETA SET A BETA EGSAMPLE PLS. 4 THE CULTURE MAH BEG UNO. 4 THE KIDS. 4 THE YOUNGER FEMALES,” tagged the two rappers in his post.
The two ignited a rap war attributed to their alleged romantic relationship with Nigerian singer Burna Boy.
Stefflon Don, a British rapper and singer known for her bold and unapologetic style, fired the first shot with the release of “Dat A Dat,” a patois-infused track that took aim at an unnamed target. The song, which was previewed last week and officially dropped on January 9, 2024, has been widely interpreted as a direct response to her rumoured romantic entanglements involving Afrobeats star Burna Boy and his alleged association with Jada Kingdom.
In a swift and fiery retaliation, Jada Kingdom, a Jamaican reggae singer and model, responded with her own diss track titled “London Bed,” further fueling the escalating feud.
