During her first formal trip to Africa, US Vice President Kamala Harris collaborated with Spotify to compile an official playlist of African music.
Harris’ journey, which started on March 26 in Ghana, will end on Sunday when she flies back to the US after stopping in Tanzania on Wednesday and Zambia on Friday.
A number of Ghanaian and Ghanaian-American musicians are featured on the Spotify collection, including Sarkodie, M3NSA, Amaarae, Moses Sumney, and Black Sherif.
On Monday, Harris will also go to Vibrate Space, a music production facility established in Ghana by Surf Ghana with help from Spotify last year.
Billboard.com reports that the playlist titled “My Travels: Ghana, Tanzania, and Zambia,” is now available on the streaming platform and highlights the artists and sounds from her travels across these countries.
