The Minister of Communications, Digital Technology, and Innovations, Samuel Nartey George, has officially terminated the appointment of Kwadwo Gyamfi Osafo-Mafo as the Director of Cyber Security at the National Communications Authority (NCA).
In a letter dated February 14, 2025, addressed to Mr. Osafo-Mafo, the Minister communicated the decision, stating:
“I write to inform you that the Minister of Communications, Digital Technology and Innovations has terminated your appointment as the Director of Cyber Security at the National Communications Authority with immediate effect.”

The letter, signed by Alexander Wiafe Ampofo, Chief Director of the Ministry, further instructed Mr. Osafo-Mafo to hand over his duties to the Director-General of the NCA and facilitate a smooth transition.
“You are to take immediate steps to hand over your duties to the Acting Director-General of the National Communications Authority.”
Additionally, it was noted that in line with paragraph 8(2) of his appointment letter, he would be given three months’ salary in lieu of notice.
