The current member of parliament for Ningo Prampram, Sam Nartey George, has been triumphant in his effort to retain his seat. He received 1,036 more votes than his closest rival, Michael Kwetey Tettey.

For the third consecutive time in a row, Mr. George has been elected to run for re-election in the upcoming 2024 general elections. The incumbent faced a heavy battle from his opponent, who had promised to remove him in the upcoming election.

Mr. George had earlier claimed that he would win with a “resounding victory” and keep his parliamentary seat. According to him, his past performance in the district gives him an advantage over his opponent, Michael Kweey Tetteh.

In an interview following his victory, he thanked Jesus for giving him strength and his loved ones for helping him throughout his journey. He promised the delegates that he would fight hard for their interests in Parliament.

“I can only make you one promise the delegates and people of Ningo Prampram, Sam George will work even harder in the next parliament,” Mr. George said.

He went on to say that he expected to bring in around 100,000 new voters for the NDC and John Dramani Mahama in the impending 2024 elections.
