Rudeboy Accuses Brother Peter Okoye of Unauthorized Song Sampling Amid Ongoing Tensions

The relationship between the Okoye brothers, Paul (Rudeboy) and Peter (Mr. P), appears as strained as ever, with Rudeboy now calling out his twin over what he claims is an unauthorized use of his work.

The latest feud arose after Peter announced his new single, Attention, on social media. Peter, excitedly promoting the release, urged fans to listen across streaming platforms and subscribe to his YouTube channel, writing, “Brand New!!! ‘ATTENTION’ Audio out on ALL Music platforms. Make sure you subscribe to my YouTube channel after listening! One love🤞🏾.”

However, Rudeboy was quick to respond, accusing his brother of sampling a song he claims he originally wrote and recorded.

He voiced his frustration on social media, revealing that the song—originally titled Winning—had been written, sung, and submitted to their mutual producer as part of an upcoming album project set for release in June 2025.

“Song title: WINNING, written and sung by RUDEBOY, produced by the same producer,” Rudeboy wrote, hinting at his surprise that Attention closely mirrored his own work.

Rudeboy explained that he had submitted a set of six songs to their shared management, only to find his work allegedly being re-recorded and released by his brother. “Now how come? Now am I supposed to release another version?” he questioned.

“Just a simple thing: Bring 6 songs, let me bring 6 songs… submitted my 6 songs to the so-called management. Why re-singing my own song word for word? Song that was supposed to be on my album next year, June.”

The claim comes amid lingering hostilities since the public confirmation of their split, with Rudeboy recently alleging that Peter was behind his arrest by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC). While fans have long awaited a resolution between the two, these fresh allegations seem to deepen the rift.

For the Okoye brothers, who once shared global fame as P-Square, the split has been filled with emotional and professional fallout, with each twin pursuing a solo career.

Although Attention and Winning have now become points of contention, fans are calling for a peaceful resolution, especially given the significant musical legacy both brothers share.
