Veteran Ghanaian musician Rex Omar has expressed deep gratitude to President John Dramani Mahama following his appointment as a Presidential Staffer to oversee the Black Star Experience, a flagship program designed to elevate Ghana’s Tourism, Arts, and Culture sectors.
In a heartfelt message, Rex Omar acknowledged the significance of his new role, stating, “I am deeply honored and humbled by the trust you have placed in me with my appointment to serve as a Presidential Staffer at the office of the President to coordinate the (BLACKSTAR EXPERIENCE) your flagship programme that covers the entire Tourism, Arts and Culture sectors of our country.”
The Black Star Experience aims to redefine and affirm Ghanaian identity while driving economic growth and fostering employment opportunities.

According to the newly appointed coordinator, the initiative is a reflection of President Mahama’s dedication to revitalizing Ghana’s creative and cultural industries.

Rex Omar, an influential figure in Ghana’s music industry and a strong advocate for local creative arts, pledged to work diligently to achieve the program’s objectives. He expressed his commitment to collaborating with relevant ministries and agencies to ensure its success.
