Reggie Zippy, a Ghanaian UK-based musician, has announced his divorce from his wife of 15 years, Edith Ward. The couple took to their social media accounts to individually announce their separation, with Reggie casting himself as the villain.
The news of the divorce has shattered many people’s hearts, and fans have been expressing their sadness on social media.
According to his ex-wife, Reggie has been dating a white woman for the past three years and has also stopped taking care of his kids. She made the claim in a long post on Instagram, which seems to have been deleted. She said:
“I walked away after you betrayed and walked away from our covenant (marriage). Lies, deceit, constant cheating, years of alcohol and financial abuse that made me end up working day n night to save my family… my love, care n patience still were not enough for u to stop it all. So I decided to save myself and my children from hell.
“I walked away and never turned back! Now continue to live ur life happily with the “white” (as u like to brag it to me) woman u had been with for the past 2-3 yrs whilst still married, start providing for ur kids and stop creating this false narrative online to make me look bad.
“I have tried to be the bigger person for a long time and have kept quiet! Now I have had enough too, and hope you can put stop to this constant emotional abuse! #THRUTHALWAYSPREVAILS #ENOUGHISENOUGH,”
Reggie Zippy, who is also known to be the other half of the duo Reggie N Bollie, has apologised for being an “irresponsible” father and husband.
He said:
“I just want to KEEP this SIMPLE and STRAIGHT to my point so kindly bare with me. AS OF FRIDAY 11th AUGUST 2023 at 12:00noon, I AM NO LONGER A MARRIED MAN after 15 years of being extremely irresponsible and wicked towards my children and their mother and I apologise to them for my unacceptable behaviour as a VERY FOOLISH FATHER AND HUSBAND, It was all my fault, I SHOULD HAVE KNOWN BETTER INSTEAD OF CARING FOR MY CHILDREN OR FAMILY. GOING FORWARD.”
He went on to say “ANY WOMAN YOU SEE ME WITH IS NOT A SIDE-CHICK OR MISTRESS. I AM NOW A SINGLE MAN WHO HAS HIS FREEDOM AND RIGHTS TO LIVE MY LIFE AND DATE ANY WOMAN I WANT TO, ESPECIALLY WHEN SHE LOVES ME AND TREATS ME WITH RESPECT AND GRATITUDE FOR THE LITTLE THINGS IN ANY BEAUTIFUL RELATIONSHIP.
After 15 years of being a very useless, selfish, arrogant, manipulative, abusive, gaslighting and heartless FATHER OF 3 BEAUTIFUL CHILDREN, I have finally accepted that I REGGIE HALM IS SUCH A HORRIBLE HUMAN BEING WHO DOESN’T DESERVE TO EVER SEE OR SPEAK TO HIS CHILDREN BECAUSE I AM A VERY IRRESPONSIBLE MAN AND FATHER.
FINALLY!!! EVERY BAD RUMOURS YOU HEAR ABOUT ME, PLEASE DON’T EVEN BOTHER TO CALL OR ASK ME BECAUSE THEY ARE ALL TRUE BUT PLEASE, PLEASE AND PLEASE AGAIN, DO NOT EVER BELIEVE ANY GOOD THING YOU HEAR ABOUT ME CUZ I DON’T WANT YOU TO BE DISAPPOINTED.
All I know is I love all 3 of my children whether I get to see them, talk to them or not, whether I am bad father, rich father, a poor father or a genuine kindhearted human being who sacrificed himself and dreams for them or not 🙏🏾. I am finally at peace and can clearly see where I went wrong or right and I am very happy to be embracing the NEXT CHAPTER OF MY BEAUTIFUL, EXCITING AND POSITIVE LIFE OF PEACE AND ADVENTURE”.
Before this, Reggie had been praising his wife. In one of his posts, he said: “Damn!! Reggie, I am such a lucky guy to call this gorgeous woman my wife, I think I married my crush🙈😍😍❤️. I dey craze for your love Edith Mikela“.
As such, the divorce has come as a shock to fans of the musician.
The pair have three kids together.
