The Government of Ghana has announced that this year’s Independence Day celebration will be a modest and cost-effective affair, deviating from the elaborate ceremonies traditionally held at Independence Square.
“This year’s celebration will be modest and cost-effective, unlike the elaborate ceremonies traditionally held at Independence Square,” Government spokesperson Felix Kwakye Ofosu stated.
The event, themed “Reflect | Review | Reset,” will take place at Jubilee House following President John Mahama’s directive to cut government expenditure amid ongoing economic challenges.
