Ghanaian rapper Kwaw Kese has been hit with a heartbreaking loss following the passing of his mother.
The award-winning artist took to social media to share the devastating news, expressing his deep sorrow in a touching tribute.
“The pain of losing you, mama. The pain of never seeing you again. But I still believe you live amongst us in spirit. RIP 😭,” he wrote, alongside a heartfelt photo of himself and his late mother.

Who is Kwaw Kese?
Born Emmanuel Kofi Botchwey, Kwaw Kese is a Ghanaian rapper widely recognized for his unique style and controversial persona in the music industry.
Nicknamed Abodam—a Twi word meaning “madness”—he became a household name in Ghana with his 2007 hit album Abodam, which won multiple awards at the Ghana Music Awards, including Artiste of the Year.
Known for hit songs like Let Me Do My Thing, Dondo, and Yakubu, Kwaw Kese has remained a dominant force in Ghanaian music, blending Hiplife, Hip-Hop, and Afrobeat influences in his craft.
