At the vibrant 2024 BHIM Fest in Accra, where music echoed the heartbeat of a nation, rapper Kwaw Kese took a moment to address an issue close to his heart: being a voice for the voiceless youth of Ghana.
“I’m a youth myself; I feel the heat on the street. I feel the heat of the youth. When things are not going well, we need a mouthpiece that can speak for the masses,” he shared in an interview with GhanaWeb’s Isaac Dadzie.
The self-proclaimed “King of the Streets” expressed frustration with the silence of many who could use their influence for good. “Often, people are scared to speak.

“And I think some of us are not scared to speak, and we speak for the masses,” he added, emphasizing his commitment to raising awareness about issues that matter.
This isn’t the first time Kwaw Kese has taken on the mantle of advocacy. Through his music and public statements, he has consistently championed the cause of young Ghanaians, particularly those grappling with unemployment, rising costs of living, and limited opportunities.
Held under the banner of Stonebwoy’s BHIM Fest, the event celebrated music’s ability to unify and inspire, making it the perfect stage for Kwaw’s powerful words.
For attendees, it wasn’t just about the beats and lyrics—it was about connecting with voices that reflect their lived realities.
“When I see the need to speak out, I speak out,” Kwaw declared, leaving no doubt about his readiness to stand tall for those who can’t.
